Presentation

The old abbey dates back to the 13th c., but the buildings were transformed in the 18th c. The 13th-c. cellar and the vaulted passageway were kept intact, including the large 18th-c. windows. The 13th-c. ceremonial staircase, with a wide hallway at its foot, lead to the first floor where a large gallery looks onto the covered courtyard, the cloister and the abbey-church.
The 18th-c. cloister leads to the old gothic heating room with its central fireplace. The many ruins of the gothic church may be lit up at night and are visible from the ground floor and the first-floor gallery. All of the rooms are paved with concrete slabs and heated by hot air.
