There are places you can never forget. The Castle of Condamine is one of them. Located between Uzès and Cévennes, this elegant residence dominates a park full of trees. The architecture of the castle has changed over time. The foundations are those of a roman villa. The building encloses a medieval courtyard. The loopholes, drilled into the staircase walls, attest the castle’s military origins from the 14th century. The front side, burned in 1703, was rebuilt in the mid-18th century by combining vast volumes and large windows that face the park.
The castle has always been inhabited; therefore it kept its nostalgic soul. Thanks to the magic of the site, we let ourselves be carried back to history.
Registered on the additional Inventory of Historic Monuments, the Castle of Condamine received sponsoring from VMF Emile Garcin in 2009.
