In the 10th century, the Saint-Christophe priory was under the authority of the Saint-Marcel abbey in Saône-et-Loire. It was destroyed and rebuilt in the 14th century. With no conventual sign in the late 16th century, it was mentioned as « rural of the Cluny order ».
After the Revolution, it became a national property, was sold and transformed into a farm. The restoration work started in 1980. In 1988, it was listed on the additional Inventory of historical Monuments, and joined the Federation of Clunisian sites in 2010.
