If the seigniory of Pesselières is mentioned for the first time in the late 12th century as belonging to Pierre de Livron, the « castle and fortified house » only acquires the appearance of a country residence by the 17th century, once the Religion wars over. In the 18th century, the east and north façades have windows on the gardens set in. In the landscaped park, created in the 19th century by Louis Cottin, traces of the former gardens à la française can still be seen. The restoration of the castle and the park was welcomed in 2013 with a VMF departmental prize.
